Transitions at Origins

Transitions at Origins ™ is a program specifically designed for young men to provide concentrated clinical treatment coupled with recovery support during the delicate months of early sobriety.  Individuals often stumble as they go from the treatment setting—which necessarily provides a great deal of structure and accountability—into an environment which affords  much less support. For patients who have been identified as requiring a more gradual transitions program, Transitions at Origins may be the perfect fit. This significant change in therapeutic intensity can be an overwhelming experience which compromises recovery and results in relapse.

Transitions at Origins provides a seamless continuum of care in a serene setting where residents have the ongoing support of a multi-disciplinary clinical team.  Throughout an individualized clinically driven 6 – 9 month treatment experience, clients of Transitions at Origins are led through three phases of programming which are skillfully modeled to promote increasing responsibility and freedom. These phases deliver a unique continuum of services which include:

  • Individual therapy
  • Process group
  • Family involvement
  • 12-Step engagement
  • Experiential outings
  • Chemical dependency education groups
  • High accountability
  • Spiritual principles

Each phase of Transitions at Origins programming is expertly designed with a clinical focus on developing the life skills necessary to sustain recovery. Life skills training includes:

  • Meal planning and cooking
  • Money management
  • Vocational support
  • Educational transitions
  • Time management
  • Self-care responsibility

Transitions at Origins provides a unique blend of clinical and experiential services designed to highlight the importance of learning to have fun in sobriety. Along with an energizing community atmosphere, Transitions at Origins also  offers programming which capitalizes on the beautiful surroundings of Palm Beach, Florida, such as:

  • Paddleboarding
  • Fishing excursions
  • Bicycling
  • Beach outings
  • Outdoor fitness activities
  • Cultural activities

Clinical studies consistently demonstrate the importance of family involvement in sustained recovery from addiction.  The team at Transitions at Origins is dedicated to integrating families into the treatment process. Participation in family programming and regular family sessions help to nurture relationships which may have been eroded by the presence of addiction and support long-term recovery.

Transitions at Origins unique blend of clinical and experiential services provide individualized support which is rooted in the 12-Step paradigm. Along with community involvement in 12-Step meetings and service, Transitions at Origins staff is committed to teaching men the value of spiritual principles. Emphasis on both accountability and personal responsibility at all phases of care help to reinforce Transitions at Origins critical emphasis on life skills and communal living.
