The Bright Spot

It’s that time of year again where we prepare to celebrate our alumni and their success.

Alumni Reunion for Origins is a special time of year, it is a time where each and every one of us has the opportunity to reflect on and celebrate some of the most magnificent miracles that we have witnessed confronting the perils of addiction. I know that as a member of the staff, each and every one of us feel genuine joy in watching the transformation in the lives of our beloved patients. And although we have the opportunity to interact with them throughout the year, the Alumni Reunion has served as a secret place for us to gather and give back. To those folks who have trudged the road, it is what brings inspiration and confidence into what many see as a seemingly hopeless condition.

“Life will take on new meaning. To watch people recover, to see them help others, to watch loneliness vanish, to see a fellowship grow up about you. To have a host of friends—this is an experience you must not miss. We know you will not want to miss it. Frequent contact with newcomers and with each other is the bright spot of our lives.”

Though these words are rooted in the notion of helping others in 12-Step programs, we know that this is reflected in our experience as those on the firing line of addiction treatment. Watching people recover and seeing their lives recreated is a source of incredible gratitude for our staff members. As people passionate about recovery, it truly is the bright spot of our lives. Like in past years, this year’s Reunion and BBQ will solidify the importance of what we do.

Whether you are an alumnus, a family member, or a fellow 12-Stepper, we look forward to seeing you October 13th and 14th in South Padre Island, TX and October 19th and 20th in West Palm Beach, FL.

We’d love to help you, a friend, a loved one. Call 844-211-9058
