What brought you to the field of addiction treatment? What brought you to Origins?
I have worked in health care marketing and business development for nearly 15 years. During this time, I’ve been fortunate to experience many different areas of the health care industry. So when I had the opportunity to work within Behavioral Health, I knew this was where my heart and spirit felt fulfilled. Plus, working on the marketing/business development side, I knew I could be a strong advocate for the industry and the patients it serves.
I came to Origins because the position of Community Outreach Director literally brings together all my experience working in the Rio Grande Valley and fuses it with the opportunity to truly make a difference by raising awareness for the healing work Origins does for people suffering from addiction.
If there was only one thing you could tell us about working within your specialty area, what would it be?
I go out into the Rio Grande Valley community, create partnerships, start new relationships, and tell the Origins story to raise awareness.
What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
In my spare time, I love being a mom to three teenage boys (16, 15, and 13)! They are my north star, and I am beyond blessed that I get the opportunity to guide them and watch them grow into amazing (and busy) young men. My husband, Marco, is the Yin to my Yang and best friend. When we are not working or running around with the boy’s activities, we love to hang out, talk and laugh.
Aside from my three boys, I have two dogs that I adore – my old, loyal and sometimes grumpy, fluffy mutt, Lukey, and the instigator of all household chaos and mischief, my 2-year-old Miniature Pinscher, Tyson.
