Red, White & Blue Desserts
- 8oz whipped cream
- 1-pint blueberries
- 1-pint raspberry
- 1 sliced fanned out strawberry
Puree half of your blueberries and mix with remaining whole blueberries, do same with raspberries.
St. Louis Gooey Butter Cake
- 1 package yellow cake mix
- 1/2 cup melted butter
- 4 eggs
- 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 4 cups confectioners’ sugar
Preheat oven to 325 degrees
Combine yellow cake mix, melted butter, and 2 eggs. Mix ingredients until smooth, place in a 9×13 pan. Place some flour on your hands and pat down the mixture.
In a mixer combine remaining eggs, vanilla extract, and cream cheese mix thoroughly. Slowly add 4 cups of powdered sugar, mix completely.
Spread cream cheese mixture over top of cake mix in the pan.
Bake 325 for 40-45 minutes. When done, while hot cover top with more powdered sugar.
