Whether you’re seeking treatment for the first time or looking for new treatment options, we respect where you are on your journey. We’ll celebrate your progress, comfort you during your darkest moments, and challenge you to help you get the most out of treatment.

Who We Help

We place each patient at the center of a caring team designed to help you uncover and manage mental health diagnoses. Hanley Center treats adults experiencing a range of diagnoses, including:

Mood disorders

Mood disorders, including depression and bipolar disorder, cause dramatic and sometimes dangerous mood fluctuations. Categories of mood disorders include clinical depression, bipolar disorder, and substance-induced mood disorder.

Anxiety disorders

Anxiety disorders are highly disruptive mental health conditions that cause sensations of fear and stress disproportionate to the circumstances that trigger them. Examples of anxiety disorders include panic disorder, phobia-related disorders, and social anxiety disorder.

Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)

Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is precipitated by an emotionally and physically traumatic event or sequence of events. The trauma can either be experienced or witnessed. Symptoms might include night terrors, anxiety, uncontrolled recollections of the event, negative thinking, feelings of hopelessness, and persistent fear of danger.

Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD)

Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) is a condition that involves experiencing repeated, spontaneous, and unwanted thoughts and impulses. A person with OCD might fixate on cleanliness, organization, health, or safety, which triggers compulsive actions to relieve stress. The thoughts and urges are so pervasive that they impede routine activities.

Personality Disorders

Personality disorders involve inflexible thought patterns and behaviors. The conditions classified as personality disorders include borderline personality disorder, paranoid personality disorder, antisocial personality disorder, and narcissistic personality disorder.

Process Addictions

Process addictions are addiction disorders that involve compulsively performing certain activities that trigger the pleasure response. Such activities might include gambling, shopping, online computer gaming, or sexual acts. Process addictions do not involve consuming intoxicating substances like drugs or alcohol.

We also offer support for other psychiatric and psychological issues not covered here. Our treatment curriculum is designed to provide you with deep individual insights while fostering community support. Through the delivery of compassionate care, our therapists and medical staff help patients learn vital coping skills to help patients to navigate life’s everyday challenges, such as:

  • Work-related stress and burnout
  • Parental and family relationships
  • Financial pressures
  • Lacking social supports
