Alcoholics are undisciplined people. Before recovery, we try to run life to suit ourselves. When life doesn’t go as we want it to, we turn to alcohol for what we think is a relief. We need a life with good direction and purpose.
Today, I will practice a disciplined life. Reminding myself I’ve put my life in the care of a Higher Power, I will ask God to direct my thinking. I will pause throughout the day and humbly watch my thoughts and actions. When I retire, I will constructively review my day and ask for corrective actions I may take for tomorrow.
