In recovery, we are taught to be responsible for taking action, for watching our own thought-life, and for helping others. This valuable principle extends to our lives as children, parents, partners, friends, employees, and community members. It also extends to our relationship with ourselves. Responsibility may require a fine balance, but it is possible with God’s help.
Today, I will pray for the power to be responsible. For the benefit of those around me, I will be responsible for myself and my recovery.
