Boundaries and healthy limits are vital to a solid recovery. Having boundaries without having shame or guilt is part of changing your beliefs and what you deserve in your life. Something magical can happen when setting a limit. You start to believe you mean what you say and so do others around you. Your thinking becomes clearer, and your self-esteem improves. Your life changes because you are no longer trying to only please others; you are also being thoughtful of yourself.
I have worked hard on changing the way I think and setting healthy boundaries in my life. I will learn and grow at my own pace. Small changes, one at a time, will help me become a healthier and happier me. I am important today, and my feelings count.
