Inspiration for the Day
Expectations are a premeditated resentment. We alcoholics must practice living without any expectations of anyone — even ourselves. It’s good to set goals without predetermining the final outcomes. If we think we know how someone else should act or feel then we’re setting ourselves up for a resentment. We should never lend something out that we can’t live without. “Resentment is the “number one” offender. It destroys more alcoholics than anything else.” So we must not set ourselves up for them.
Meditation for the Day
Today, I won’t play God. I’m not responsible for anyone’s actions. I’m not in the results game today. I’m only responsible with God’s help for the actions I take.
