Connection is critical to recovery from addiction.
Addiction thrives in isolation. This is why our staff members encourage our patients to stay connected to Origins’ network. Volunteering and participating in Origins’ alumni groups enable past clients to remain connected to Origins’ staff and their peers.
Alumni services, including alumni groups, have been shown to improve the chances for a sustained recovery after discharge from treatment for substance use disorders. Alumni groups allow discharged patients to maintain therapeutic contact with Origins staff members who recognize the value of continued engagement in the action plan of recovery. These groups allow alumni to be accountable for their actions as they continue to develop the skills necessary to enjoy a life free from drugs and alcohol.
The Alumni Services Team at Origins is dedicated to offering a strong network of support as an integral part of each patient’s aftercare. This includes a range of meetings and aftercare services which are available to all alumni of Origins’ programs. Our compassionate staff encourages each of our graduates to join a confidential environment where alum collectively seek permanent sobriety. Each group is individually tailored to meet the unique needs of participants. No matter what stage of recovery you find yourself in, you are welcome.
