Have a Question? We Might Have the Answer Here.

Here are some frequently asked questions regarding the treatment and structured services at Origins Behavioral HealthCare.

When you call, we will conduct a confidential telephone assessment that will help us determine if Origins Behavioral HealthCare is the most appropriate option for you or your loved one. Our compassionate team will happily answer any of your questions to ensure that we can best meet your individual needs. Once screening begins, you will be assigned a personal Admission Specialist who is responsible for overseeing your unique case. You won’t be passed between dozens of staff members. We understand that opening up about mental health and addiction is difficult. Our goal is to make you as comfortable as possible from your first call throughout your entire stay.
Sometimes, your loved one may refuse treatment or cannot see how desperately they need it. Even in these cases, it is still possible for them to find healing. An Admissions Specialist can help determine if a professional intervention would be appropriate. Our team of admissions specialists can make an appropriate referral to a qualified professional that can guide your family through the process of an intervention. It is possible to secure the date of admission before an intervention.

Origins Behavioral Healthcare costs for primary residential care include housing, meals, and therapeutic services. These services include assessments and detoxification, psychiatric evaluation and follow-up, and psycho-education, along with psychological, spiritual, wellness, and addiction and mental health therapies. Prices vary depending on location and whether a residential, partial hospitalization (PHP), or outpatient level of care is needed. We are also in-network with most major insurance providers. Please contact an Origins Admission Specialist for specifics regarding your cost.
Origins considers alcoholism and drug addiction to be family diseases that can affect the entire family system. At the residential level, we encourage participation in our Family Programs, which combine education, support, and therapeutic interaction with other families and loved ones. Shortly after admission, Origins’ Family Program staff will reach out to you to discuss Family Program dates and options. At our outpatient levels of care, we offer family therapies as well as intensive sessions and workshops tailored to your needs.
We offer patient-driven care and programming tailored to your unique needs. We provide age-specific, gender-specific, and gender-separate treatment programs for adults with residential and outpatient services. Program recommendations depend on individual assessments and include the following:
Yes. Many patients who enter treatment at Origins suffer from co-occurring mental disorders such as anxiety, depression, or bipolar disorders. These conditions must be treated alongside the disease of addiction. At the residential level of care, we provide these additional services free of charge to every patient through psychiatric evaluation and medication management, as well as counseling services and psychological group therapy. Origins also offers a residential mental health program at our West Palm Beach, Florida location, as well as primary mental health outpatient care in both Texas and Florida.
Yes. Origins’ multidisciplinary team includes expert psychiatrists and psychologists who treat substance use, co-occurring, and mental health disorders.
For our residential addiction treatment programs, a typical daily schedule may include psycho-education and elements of group and individual therapies which address addiction, wellness, spirituality, and psychology. Specialized topics may consist of co-occurring disorders or life issues such as grief and loss. Patients share meals together and have time for meditation and rest, and they also attend 12-Step meetings. Our residential mental health program includes many of the same offerings but focuses heavily on individual psychiatric support and guided peer group sessions. Additionally, this program provides medication management and includes an emphasis on the development of coping skills in an intimate and safe setting, providing the tools and skills needed to transition back to your everyday life.
Walkways connect buildings and residences in the open, college-like campus of Hanley Center at Origins in the tropical landscape of West Palm Beach, Florida. One-story structures provide easy accessibility for all mobility levels. A Resource Center with an auditorium, administrative offices, and meeting rooms anchors the South Florida campus on 45th Street. This location also houses Hanley Center Counseling, our premier outpatient counseling center. This program features a private entrance, its own courtyard, and offices for individual therapy sessions. We offer two beautiful residential treatment centers in Southern Texas: Origins Recovery Center and Hannah’s House by Origins. Both are located in resort-grade settings on South Padre Island. With access to plenty of outdoor open spaces, these welcoming, gender-separate residences offer ample meeting areas, as well as comfortable spaces where you can relax quietly or commune with others. Origins’ men’s facility offers a lush, tropical courtyard where you also have access to a large pool. Hannah’s House for women is an intimate two-story facility nestled directly on the Laguna Madre Bay. Private, elegantly appointed suites are “home” for our patients of Headwaters at Origins in Florida. This luxurious residence in Jupiter helps you rest, reflect, share, and stay focused on recovery.
Each patient is discharged with a thorough continuing care plan through our Continuing Care Department. Our Alumni Services team members actively engage our alumni after they leave and are available to provide a lifetime of support. Our graduates are also welcome to participate in local and annual alumni events in both Texas and Florida.
Origins Behavioral HealthCare’s programs have been open since 1986.
Our programs stand out in their capacity to treat both medical and mental co-occurring conditions while providing quality medical care related to detoxification and comorbid medical conditions. Origins specializes in innovative and evidence-based, age-and gender-specific programs with a unique focus on trauma and psychological well-being.
