Our Philosophy
Our Clinical Philosophy: A Multidimensional Approach to Wellness
As mental health and addiction treatment professionals, we are here to facilitate a lasting change in your body, mind, and spirit. Everything we do at Origins — from individual therapy to medical care — is for this purpose. We recognize that mental, emotional, physical, psychological, and spiritual health are wholly interrelated. In order to provide the best possible care for you or your loved one, we use all resources in our power to help you overcome the barriers to wellness that may be present in each of these areas.
From our executive team to our frontline staff, Origins’ team believes in the value of the healing process. We want every person who enters our care to get well and stay well.
Sophisticated Clinical Interventions
Addiction and mental health disorders affect nearly every dimension of your well-being. Our clinicians are passionate about helping individuals and their families find wellness because we know there is a solution. Origins’ therapists use cutting-edge, evidence-based techniques to treat your mental health, addiction, and co-occurring disorders. We employ a range of interventions to help you understand your unique strengths and rediscover who you truly are. From Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to Brainspotting and neurofeedback, we offer a refined approach to treating your mental and emotional needs.
Our clinical services begin with a thorough assessment of you or your loved one. Through individual and group sessions, our team helps you explore family and relationship issues, past trauma, and life skills development. We truly hear what you say and can be fully present with you because we know there is a way to freedom. By combining trauma-informed clinical care with rigorous therapeutic interventions, we are able to thoroughly treat you: body, mind, and spirit.
Fully Integrated Medical Care
We believe that innovative and evidence-based clinical services must be matched with medical care capable of helping you find total wellness. This is why nurses, psychiatrists, and medical doctors are members of our highly skilled multidisciplinary team. Our approach brings your medical history into current focus, and medical interventions are integrated into your personalized treatment plan.
Our psychiatrists prescribe appropriate medication according to ongoing evaluations as you move through treatment. When exceptional medical care is combined with clinical and spiritual interventions, treatment improves — and so do lives.
We also offer a superior level of acute care for addiction, including state-of-the-art detoxification and treating serious medical conditions. We teach you the importance of self-care, including how to manage chronic pain, which is often a factor for older adults and others seeking recovery from an addiction to opioids.
A Spiritual Approach for Those Who Need It
Your health and wellness are our top priorities, including the spiritual dimension. There is an innate connection between spiritual health and brain health, which we comprehensively address from a multidisciplinary standpoint. We assess this nuanced aspect of wellness through psychological testing, psychotherapy, and personal human discussions.
If you wish, a Spiritual Care Professional will meet with you early in your treatment experience to assess any current life issues and areas of spiritual need or conflict that may contribute to alcoholism, drug addiction, or underlying mental health disorders. We believe that fully integrating a spiritual approach can help you or your loved one better define your values, beliefs, choices, and decision-making in a way that improves your quality of life. Origins treatment philosophy is founded in timeless recovery principles, which are not religious yet work harmoniously with other faith-based practices. Daily offerings for select programs may include 12-Step study and practice, as well as dedicated times for prayer, meditation, or self-reflection.
