As addiction treatment professionals, we are here to facilitate a lasting change in individuals: body, mind, and spirit. Everything we do at Origins — from individual therapy to medical care — is for this purpose. We recognize that mental, physical, and spiritual health are wholly interrelated. In order to provide the best possible care, we use all resources in our power to help our patients overcome the barriers to recovery that may be present in all of these areas.
Origins integrated treatment model is designed to provide a clear path to a life of healing and restoration through exceptional clinical, medical, and spiritual services.

Clinical
Addiction is a chronic, neurobiological disease which impacts nearly every dimension of a person’s wellbeing. For those with co-occurring disorders, this can be even more apparent. Our clinicians are passionate about helping individuals and their families recover from addiction because we know there is a solution.
Origins’ therapists use cutting edge, evidence-based techniques to treat addiction and co-occurring disorders.
Our clinical services begin with a thorough assessment of substance use history and other behavioral and mental health issues that often occur alongside addiction. Through individual and group sessions, our team leads patients through family and relationship issues, past trauma, and life skills programming. We truly hear what our patients say and can be present with them because we know that there is a way to freedom.
As clinicians, we believe in age-specific and gender-specific treatment because the separation of men and women into their own milieus can substantially improve outcomes. We offer clinically robust addiction treatment for men, women, and older adults, with a focus on individual and family recovery. By combining this perspective with rigorous medical and spiritual interventions, we are able to thoroughly treat the body, mind, and spirit.

Medical
Alcohol and other drug use affects the body in so many adverse ways that medical treatment is often necessary for the mitigation of health issues. Addiction can cause or exacerbate chronic and other health problems, making recovery a complex process. Both early-onset addiction and aging multiply the risk factors for co-occurring physical and mental illnesses.
We believe that innovative and evidence-based clinical services must be matched with medical care capable of meeting the needs of those struggling to recover. This is why nurses, psychiatrists, and medical doctors are members of our highly skilled multidisciplinary team. Our approach brings medical and substance use history into current focus, and medical interventions are integrated into every patient’s personalized treatment plan.
We offer a superior level of acute care, including state-of-the-art detoxification and the treatment of serious medical conditions.
Our psychiatrists prescribe appropriate medication according to continuing evaluations as each patient moves through treatment. We teach our patients the importance of self-care, including how to manage chronic pain which is often a factor for older adults and other patients seeking recovery from an addiction to opioids. When exceptional medical care is combined with clinical and spiritual interventions, treatment improves — and so do lives.

Spiritual
At Origins, we address all dimensions of health and wellness, including the spiritual dimension. Many people who suffer from addiction cite a feeling of “emptiness” or “incompleteness” at the time they approach sobriety. This feeling can often be traced back to childhood or traumatic experiences. For some, it originated at the time they began drinking or using. For others, it can be a feeling that nagged at them for as long as they can remember.
In the early stages of your treatment experience, a Spiritual Care Professional will meet with you to assess any current life issues or including “brokenness” and areas of spiritual need or conflict that may contribute to alcoholism, drug addiction, or underlying mental health disorders.
It is not necessary to be affiliated with a particular religious denomination to receive Spiritual Care Services or to achieve inner peace. Spirituality reminds those suffering from substance use disorders that there are forces that are bigger than themselves who can positively influence their recovery and sobriety.
We believe that fully integrating a spiritual approach can help our patients better define their values, beliefs, choices, and decision making in a way that improves their quality of life.
There is an innate connection between spiritual health and brain health, one which we comprehensively address from a multidisciplinary standpoint. We assess every patient for spiritual wellness through psychological testing, psychotherapy, and personal, human discussions. Origins’ spiritual approach is founded in the 12-Steps of recovery, a program that is not religious yet which works harmoniously with other faith-based practices. Daily programming includes 12-Step study and practice as well as dedicated times for prayer, meditation, or self-reflection.
From our executive leadership to our frontline staff, Origins’ team believes in the value of the spiritual experience in the recovery process. We want every person who enters our care to get well and stay well.
