Alcohol Addiction | Alcoholism
Our exceptional ability to treat alcoholism at Origins Recovery Centers, remains one of our greatest sources of pride.
Whether your loved one is a strict, “alcohol only” sort of alcoholic, or if they are of the variety who will intake a whole host of awful substances along with alcohol, we know how the alcoholic mind of your loved one works and we will provide them with what they need to overcome their addiction to alcohol. You do not have to sit idly by as they drink away the rest of their lives.
Is your loved one more of the classic model of alcoholism or more of the binge-drinking variety?
The classic alcoholic generally began their drinking career as a fairly heavy social drinker, progressing over time through troubling stages of increased frequency and amount of alcohol intake, to where they very well may be drinking constantly at all times of the day and night. It is not uncommon for a late-stage alcoholic to become a reclusive, shut-in sort who seemingly only lives to continue to drink.
The binge drinking alcoholic is commonly found within our facility as well, and they often constitute an even more difficult individual treat than the traditional alcoholic. The binge drinker is distinguished by the fact that whenever they drink, they drink to a substantial excess and often this leads to rather unfortunate occurrences as a result (blackouts, fights, DWI’s, etc.). However, unlike the classic alcoholic they are able to refrain from drinking for periods of time, which often leads them to be blind to their helplessness, despite the fact that it is very clear to everyone else that when this person drinks, they drink to a dangerous extent with often horrible results.
Whether your loved one is like the classic alcoholic, the binge drinking alcoholic, a blend of the two or their own unique brand of alcoholism, we know precisely what this individual needs in order to conquer their battle with alcoholism.
How many times has your loved one resolved to either temper or stop their drinking altogether? Did this ever go as they intended? Does your loved one emerge remorseful for their behavior during a drinking episode? Do they experience a night and day, “Dr. Jekyl and Mr. Hyde” sort of negative transformation when they are under the influence of alcohol? We already know the answer to these questions, but we just wish to demonstrate to you that your loved one’s alcoholism is nothing new to us.
Please know you are not alone in how you’ve been effected by your loved one’s alcoholism. Alcohol has destroyed an enormous number of families and it is our sincerest hope that you choose to let us help you prevent alcohol from destroying one more.
