Former Michael Jackson Doctor Employee Dies December 31, 2009
TMZ reports that an office employee of Dr. Arnold Klein, Michael Jackson’s longtime doctor, was recently found dead in Los Angeles. Bruce Ayers, who worked for Dr. Klein for three years and met Michael Jackson a number of times, was fired in February for stealing drugs and money from Arnold Klein’s office. Ayers had a history of abusing pain medications, and although he was clean for a time, his drug problem appeared to recur in early 2009.
Prescription medications, particularly pain medication, are widely misused and abused. In fact, prescription drugs are now the top illegal narcotics for addiction in the United States. It appears that, as with many people suffering from a drug addiction, Bruce Ayers relapsed back into addiction after a period of sobriety.
